Available in a glass jar with net weight 330 g

Purple, juicy drops with distinctive taste and appearance, intense flavour, crunchy texture, rich and delicious flesh with a high content of olive oil (15-20%), as an aftertaste, leave a delicate bitter and spicy hue and wonderful aroma of fresh olive oil on the palate which is result of their phytochemical compounds (polyphenols such as oleuropein, hydroxytyrosol, tyrosol).

100% handpicked. Product of organic farming according to all international standards and regulations.

Great addition of many dishes. In our restaurant we serve them even as separate plate – healthiest eating experience. Our Greek salad can’t be called Greek without these plum and juicy pearls.

Kalamata olives pair well with red wines, try it with a fine and spicy Pinot Noir.

Fruity, with hearty saltiness, these olives goes perfectly with a crisp Rosé for easy snacking alongside the cheeseboard or cold cuts platter.

The olive tree is a symbol of honor and culture and has even been used as a prize for champions at the Olympic Games. Olives have been a food since the early Minoan era.

 

Organic olives Kalamon of O! live are excellent source of fiber, rich in calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, selenium, zinc, phosphorus, sodium, vitamins A, D, E, K, richest in mixed tocopherols and natural antioxidants (have 10 times more antioxidants than EVOO, which ranks them at the top of the food chain).

As a popular part of the Mediterranean diet, Kalamata olives are real superfood that contribute to healthy growth and the longevity of the humans.

 

Modern medical studies have proven the great beneficial properties of Kalamata olives and the regular consumption of it said to have the following effects:

  • Reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases
  • Reduce the bad LDL cholesterol
  • Stimulate your metabolism
  • Anti-cancer properties

Kalamata Olives are very rich in monounsaturated fat well-known as the  “healthy” fat which is exceptionally healthy for the heart and benefit the control of the blood sugar.

Popular for their nutritional properties and healthy fat dose, Kalamata olives of the Kalamon variety are named after the city of Kalamata, Messinia region in the Peloponnese, near which they were first grown. However, they are also harvested in the neighboring area of ​​Laconia.

 Our single estate organic Kalamata olives come from the family-owned olive grove where the olive trees of Kalamon variety are living healthy for centuries.

The time of harvest (starts in late October) determines not only the size of the fruit and its quality, but also the content of health-promoting ingredients.

100% handpicked so that the fruit is not hit or injured. 

The olives are then transported to our facilities, where we select them one by one, only the unbruised ones.

We wash them with clean water, place it in a small barrels with brine where they will remain for 5 to 9 months.

During their stay in the brine, the olives will undergo clearing and natural fermentation using the natural microflora on the fruit which lead to two important outcomes:

  • leaching out and breakdown of oleuropein and other unpalatable phenolic compounds, and the
  • generation of favourable metabolites from bacteria and yeast, such as organic acids, probiotics, glycerol, and esters, which affect the sensory properties of the final table olives

Meticulously we observe the whole process and in no phase are chemical ingredients used.

When the natural fermentation is over the olives receive their final ripeness, their genuine taste and aroma, their organoleptic characteristics.

No preservatives. No additives.

With respect to the environment and our customers, we use high quality glass jars, reusable, eco-friendly and 100% recyclable. Packed and labeled by our company. Sealed with a protection side, temper evident stripe so as to maintain the excellent quality of O! live organic Kalamon olives.

Store in a dark, dry and cool place to enjoy their exceptional taste until the last piece. Keep refrigerated after opening!
